Dr Oshi Swarup

Dr Oshi Swarup is a Stroke Fellow at Alfred Health and an emerging clinician-scientist in translational stroke research completing her PhD on the role of the fibrinolytic system in ischaemic and haemorrhagic stroke. Her research bridges the gap between laboratory science and clinical practice. It focuses on understanding lysis resistance, evaluating stroke therapies, and investigating antifibrinolytic agents in cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA), as the lead investigator of the TOSCCAA-TXA trial. Alongside her scientific work, she brings a creative lens as a former Biomedical Artist-in-Residence at St Vincent’s Hospital, where her art explores the intersection of neuroscience and nature.
