Scott Harding
Scott Harding is a stroke survivor, aphasia lived-experience advocate, and former consulting engineer. Following a stroke in 2020, Scott developed a strong interest in communication access, rehabilitation, and improving life after stroke. He is a Director of the Australian Aphasia Association, a member of the Queensland Aphasia Research Centre Consumer Advisory Group, and a consumer representative across hospital, digital health, and assistive technology advisory groups. He is also undertaking MPhil research at Queensland University of Technology, exploring aphasia recovery and the possible use of synthetic data to support trajectory modelling. His presentation shares a personal view of recovery, adaptation, uncertainty, and participation after stroke.
